Lovell Productions

I am so proud & excited for my close friends, Sarah & Justin Lovell, as they embark on a new creative business adventure!  I pitched in by creating their customized logo & icons for the website & business materials.  They are truly inspiring.  See my icons & the dynamic duo in action via

city that always sleeps

It’s been awhile since I have posted.  I have steadily been working on projects & such.  I will slowly get to posting them.

Today I’m sharing another room in the nest that I think came together nicely!  Hope you dig :)

TEXT ME BABY

I am excited to share my Love Nest dreams that have come to fruition.  I am breaking it up into little snippets.  As my big girl home has swiftly come together I realized that there are unintentional reoccurring themes that me & Chris are attracted to.  To name a few: text, graphics, pin ups/old Ads, Andy Warhol, music, robot…etc.  I must say they all come together nicely in our mod lil dwelling.

Today I am showing a few things in the commons aka the living room… tying together, text & music, black &white, old tees to make unique throw pillers (aka pillows…sorry that was Curtis talk) haha I hope you enjoy!

Its been far too long…

The Jesse Update

4th month on unemployment…I’m still kickin.  I really have become so busy with side jobs and life that I havent posted all of the lil goodies I have created in the past couple of weeks.  Everything from penny’s for my nieces soccer team Me & My sister coach- to a squeaky chew toy for neighbs dog- & of course some new spring time duds for me or I have been commissioned to do.  I have tried to document most of it.

I am staying busy… applying for jobs, interning/ helping @ 2 diff alterations shops & maintaining my consignment display (i sold my beatles pillow!), freelancing for an up&coming line (Kultural Icon…I finally own a MAC!),  watching Baby Wyatt ;) , cleaning houses, odd jobs for my mom, ODU’s Fashion Academy, trying to get involved with a local shoe design team….thats all i can remember right now.  This week Im focused on getting my brides taken care of… i finished an adorable ring pillow yesterday & ill be making a veil today.

In this whirl wind of life… I have learned to take everything little by little… enjoy life, don’t let any of the good go un-noticed…spending time with loved ones, playing tennis, home cooked dinners, driving with the windows down, coaching soccer, biking & the beach, happy hour, walkin’/playin w/ dogs, hanging out on the porch/patio, laughing @ the kittys, grilling out, hugs & kisses, tickling & playing with hair, live music, dancing & singing, dressing up for no reason, making our house a home, giving little gifts…

Staying busy comes naturally to me & I am very thankful for that drive.  I am even more thankful & amazed at all of the loving people my life is filled with.  They never allowed for me to wallow in what can get very over whelming.  Life is too short to have pitty-partys…so i just prefer to party!  I know we are definitely living through a significant time in history.  Honestly i wouldnt change the way all of this has affected me personally, I know better than anyone to embrace change, & learn from it.

So the next time you see me…dont ask me what im doing. Thank you for caring about me!  I’d rather just enjoy the present.  It just gets kinda exhausting trying to remember & explain all these different things & how they all work together.  Im not quite sure how it’s all going to come together…im just gonna keep on, keepin’ on.  Building my skills & honing my craft. ;)

here are some little random nuggets I have managed to document in my creative renaissance…

If you know me at all… you know I am an avid hat wearer.  I did a lil accessories photo shoot yesterday morning.  Highlighting my favorite accessories around the house.  Hats, sunglasses, gloves, scarves, bags, shoes & a hint of sunshine! ;)   Incog-NEAT-O!

My Sketchy Past…

I’m starting off this week with a lil retrospective in my mini sketch book.  In putting my portfolio together to get back on the market, I have revisited many of my past works.  My fav & most cohesive sketch book compiles sketches from a very productive and inspiring trip to NYC in 2008…  I plan to do a sketch a day from here on out… hope you enjoy my lil nugggets! xoxo

Inspire me… Va Beach

Last week I explored the ocean front for inspiration to begin creating… I came across some interesting people and places. (pics shown in no particular order)  It was o-so-cold out!  After taking pictures, I continued my search at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia.  Where I found DAVMO & the Young Guns… it really felt like fate.  Reading their stories and viewing their works was exactly what I needed.  Mostly local artists doing what they love and expressing themselves.   It put a fire under my ass… to get busy creating…
